AZORES
The Azores is an archipelago in the eastern Atlantic ocean, and an autonomous region of Portugal. Being located in the Gulf stream the islands have a nice and warm climate and the vegetation is very green and intense. Day temperatures varies from around 12°C to 23°C, winter to summer. All islands have volcanic origins and some of them still have volcanic activity and hot springs great for warm baths. We visited two islands, Faial and Sao Miguel, and were impressed by the magnificent nature and the sights. Everything was also very well maintained along the roads with beautiful flowers and nice picnic areas. PRACTICAL
When to go: All year around, but we recommend summer, we went in July 2017.
Getting there: The largest islands have flights from Lisbon, Portugal.
Money: Euro.
