CURACAO
Curaçao is the biggest of the 3 ABC islands and it is different from Bonaire. The island is greener with more vegetation than Bonaire and has a exotic Caribbean feel to it. Renting a car here is recommended to get around the island. The capital is Willemstad and it is well worth a visit, it has nice architecture, markets, shopping and restaurants. The surroundings are not so nice with a lot of heavy industry around the city. We stayed on the northern side of the island near the small town of Westpunt, it is a very quiet area with a few small beaches and dive shops.
Scuba diving here is very good as well but not as convenient as on Bonaire, the concept is similar, get your tanks and equipment, get in your car and drive around the island with a map of dive sites. The water is very clear and the reef is very nice, we enjoyed all of our diving here, our favorite site was Porto Marie. Playa Porto Marie is a beach area, diving is done from the beach and there is a double reef just outside, you can do several dives here.
There are many small beaches around the island, Grote Knip and Klein Knip are very nice and close to Westpunt.
