HIMEJI
About one hour west of Osaka by train lies Himeji. The city is famous for its feudal castle, often considered Japan's most beautiful castle. It is located a 15 minutes walk from the station and is magnificent. You will need 2–3 hours walking around the gardens and going inside the walls and finally up the castle. Inside the castle there is not much to see, but the view. We went here on a really hot day (36°C/96,8°F) so we had to take it really slow. Trains runs often to and from Osaka, the Shinkansen (fast train) also stops here.
