We’ve spent a lot of time in London and find it to be one of the greatest, if not THE greatest capital in Europe. No matter if you’re a fan of art, culture, history, shopping or looking for markets, night life, great dining and beautiful gardens…In London there is something for everyone and every preference. This vacation we went in May and stayed for three nights (wishing it had been longer) in Shoreditch, the heart of east London. Shoreditch is a hip and vibrant area known for all its bars, restaurants, clubs, street art, vintage shops, markets, street food and cool crowd. A great area to hang out in according to us. On city holidays we always try to see as much as possible and run after a pretty tight schedule. This is how we spent our days:
A night in Shoreditch with beer and pub food
Street art spotting and vintage shopping in Shoreditch
Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern
Indian dinner in Hammersmith
Natural History Museum
Hyde Park
Portobello Road Market
Beer and burgers in Soho
Shopping in Soho
Covent Garden
Brick Lane Market and beer in Shoreditch
Turkish food in Stoke Newington
When to go: All year, we went in June.
Getting there: There are many international flights to London.
Money: British Pound.
Other: Bring extra shoes, city weekend means a lot of walking, umbrella.
