NEW SOUTH WALES
This is where our adventure on the east coast of Australia started. We picked up our Jeep in Sydney and drove to the Blue Mountains National Park. Blue Mountains is located about two hours drive west of Sydney, the mountains look blue because of fumes from the Eucalyptus trees. The park is beautiful and offers some great viewpoints and trekking. From Sydney we drove along the east coast north towards Coffs Harbour. We made a stop at the Yuraygir National Park to have a look at the beautiful beaches and got to see our first wild kangaroos. Next stop was surfer's paradise Byron Bay, they've got great beaches and there are a lot of backpackers, there are also some nice restaurants and a limited night life. We found the small town of Bungalow, just west of Byron Bay, really cute and well worth a visit.
