SYDNEY
We only had two nights in Sydney and soon realized we would have needed more, but we tried to see as much as possible during the time we had. We stayed in the Kings Cross area which is the Red lights district of Sydney, this is a great place for cheap food and bars, there are also cozy restaurants nearby. Victoria street is a great place to go out for dinner. We started at the Royal botanical gardens, this is a nice place for walking around or have a pick nick. The famous Sydney Opera House is just outside the gardens so that is worth a visit too. If you want a great view of the Opera House take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly beach for example. Climbing the Harbor Bridge is also popular, but we found it too expensive. It was really hot during our visit so we went to Bondi Beach. It was crowded and we enjoyed playing in the waves and watch fellow tourists. From Bondi Beach there is a really nice ocean walk going south, you cross two more beaches and end up at Burrows Park, from here you can catch a bus back to downtown. Next time we will have more time to spend in Sydney. We would have needed least three full days.
