DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT Dinosaur national monument is not so much about the dinosaurs, not for us anyway, we didn’t go to see them. We went for the spectacular scenery around the Green river and the Yampa river. You will need a 4WD to access the best viewpoints and the Echo park which is the highlight of the park. The Echo park is located where the Green river meets the Yampa river and there is a very nice rock formation called the Steamboat rock. Around the Echo Park are great walls, hence the name. We stayed at the Echo Park campground and spent the afternoon sunbathing by the river next to our campsite. We also visited Harpers corner for some great views of the rivers.
