CENOTE ANGELITA Angelita, little Angel, is another “must see” cenote located 17 km south of Tulum. The cenote looks like a regular small, round lake in the jungle. But there is much more to it. At 30 meters depth, you will find a thick hydrogen sulfate halocline made from decomposed leaves, a small island and some dead branches protrudes through the cloud. The scenery is absolutely stunning and almost feels unreal. Your guide will take you down through the cloud and into a very dark, but clear world. Angelita continues further down to 60 meters but there is really no reason to go that deep. Better to spend as much time as possible by the cloud. A verys special dive, another favorite!
