EYSTUROY Eysturoy is the second largest island of the Faroes, and as the name implies it’s located in the east. Eysturoy has a great combination of dramatic coastlines and majestic mountains. There are also many small villages here. We drove north passing the town of Eiðis, the route is dramatic with nice views of the coastline, the fjords and the highest mountain in the country “Slættaratindur”. We also visited the small town of Gjógv located in the north of Eysturoy, roads around here are very spectacular.
