KENYA We spent a night in Nairobi before going out on the safari but didn’t really have time to see the city. Driving between the national parks in Kenya you see a lot of villages and towns along the way, this was a big difference comparing to Tanzania which is much wilder and less developed with unspoiled nature. About once a day our guide made a stop on the way to the next national park, this was usually at some local souvenir shop with African hand craft and art where we felt a bit obliged to buy something. There is never any price tags on anything and you are supposed to haggle. You’ll know you’ve paid too much when you see the exact same item at the airport for half the price on your way back home.
