KIYOMIZU-DERA The Buddhist temple Kiyomizu-dera is located east of Kyoto city center and is within walking distance. It’s a nice walk through the old town slowly going up the hill to the temple. The temple area is in a pretty location surrounded by a lush forest. Two popular attractions here are to 1) Drink from the Otowa waterfall to make your wish come through 2) Walk with closed eyes between the love stones to find true love.
