MASAI MARA Masai Mara is the biggest and most famous park in Kenya. It is located in the south, on the border to Tanzania and adjacent to the Serengeti. You could spend days driving around this park, all kinds of wildlife are found here including the big five. There are quite many resorts here, but they are located around the edges of the park not to disturb the wildlife too much. We got to see a lot of Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Gazelles, Hippos, and some big cats here. As far as we know there are no restrooms or rest areas in the park and we had to make a quick stop in a field when nature called so to speak, and do our business behind the Jeep. It is not recommended to leave the car in the park, but if you do, make sure you have good eyesight in all directions and no high grass or bushes nearby. We stayed two nights in the park before going back to Nairobi.
