MATSUMOTO Matsumoto is located in the Nagano prefecture and is a small city (240 000 residents) surrounded by mountains. Matsumoto is mostly famous for Matsumotojo, one of Japan's most beautiful original castles. We made a one night stop here before going out in the Japanese Alps. During our stay we visited the beautiful castle and took a walk around the city for some drinks and nightlife. It’s a very pleasant place with some nice restaurants and bars.
