PHILIPPINES This was our second trip to the Philippines, we wanted to explore some more destinations and do some more scuba diving. We got to Cebu City, took a taxi and a boat to Malapascua just north of Cebu Island. Second stop was Alona Beach on the small island Panglao just south of Bohol. A boat and a short taxi ride took us to our third and last stop, Dauin, famous for muck diving. Traveling around the Philippines is pretty well organized but road travel takes time and expect much traffic around cities.
 PRACTICAL When to go: Dec-Apr. Getting there: Try to get tickets direct to Cebu Mactan Airport via Singapore or Hong Kong, don’t bother to go via Manila. Money: Pesos. USD and Euros can be used sometimes. Other: Expect a lot of extra charges at terminals when travelling. Make sure to bring cash.
