SAO MIGUEL, WEST The largest crater area Sete Cidades is very impressive and offers some amazing views. Sete Cidades is located in the north west part of the island and consists of a 5 km wide crater with a few smaller craters, mountains, some lakes and even a little village inside of it. Weather up here is unpredictable even in the summer so make sure to bring some warm clothes and try to go when the clouds are high, to avoid ending up in one.
