TEL AVIV Tel Aviv is not like any other city we have seen, not beautiful in a classic sense, but very interesting and vibrant. We had no idea of what to expect as we haven’t been traveling in the middle east before. It is a great city for walking, we usually took strolls in the morning, late afternoon and evening when the temperature is cooler. The beach walk is very nice from Jaffa in the south to The old port of Tel Aviv in the north. Afternoons when it’s hot is a great time to spend on the very nice beach and go for a swim, the water temperature was around 25 C° in early June. We stayed in an apartment in the Carmel Market area, a great location, close to the ocean, great food and entertainment.
