COLORADO Driving west from Denver we reached the Rocky Mountains very fast going up and down for a while. First stop was Black Canyon of the Gunnison national park. It is a very steep, deep and narrow canyon located to the west of the Rockies, very dramatic landscape. We continued north to Grand Junction and visited the Colorado national monument. It is a scenic drive taking you through some beautiful landscape with red cliffs, pillars and canyons, well worth a visit. On our way back we went through Colorado again and visited the Dinosaur National Monument and Denver.
