VAL D'ISÈRE SKIING ESPACE KILLY Espace killy is one of the largest ski areas in the Alps and Val d'Isère is located in the heart of it. This is a real village, meaning it is not a ski village built up in the mountains in the 50-60s. This is why Val d'Isère has a more genuine feeling to it than other ski villages. From here you can reach all of Espace Killy within a few lifts, very convenient. Usually you don´t ski much the vicinity of Val d'Isère because there are only 2 slopes going down into the village and these 2 slopes gets worn out pretty fast. PRACTICAL When to go: For skiing - when there is snow, usually from Dec-Mar, we went in February. Getting there: By car, train or air, airports: Geneva, Chambery or Grenoble. Money: Euros. Other: If you are using rental equipment it is usually cheaper to book this from home.
